This battery is a perfect replacement for the lead-acid battery in your device.
The standard size of the battery's outer box, will allow you to install it without any special modifications.
The lead charger you were using to charge the lead-acid battery is compatible with Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries. Therefore, you will not have to purchase another charger.
Equipped with a protection circuit (BMS), the battery is protected in case of short-circuit, overcharge or deep discharge.
The BMS also rebalances the internal capacity of each cell to give you greater battery longevity.
From a technical point of view, the LiFePO4 battery is certainly better than a classic lead-acid battery:
- It is lighter
- 70% compared to the weight of a standard lead-acid battery
- Lasts longer: 2000 charging cycles compared to 500 charging cycles of the lead-acid battery
- Better performance with regard to charge/discharge currents
- Minimal self-discharge
- Highly variable use temperature: from -20°C to +60°C
- Incomplete discharges will have no negative effect on the battery
- No spills possible; minor risks
- Several possible inclinations for installation
